Cell Culture

To support our co-culture experiments and immunological assays, we have built a library of methods for culturing a wide variety of primary, transformed and tumor cells. We are also able to culture and expand both cryopreserved cells and cells isolated from various tissue types. We have optimized a selection of cell culture media to fit our clients’ purposes.

Below are most of the cell types and animal models that have been cultured at Xeno. Do not hesitate to contact us if your cell type or animal model of interest is not listed, as we are able to accommodate unique requests.

CELL/TISSUE TYPES

  • Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCS)
  • Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs)
  • Dendritic Cells (DCs)
  • T-cells, and T-cell Subsets (CD4+, CD8+)
  • Biomaterials (tendon, bone, graft tissue, skin, etc.)
  • Endothelial Cells
  • Cardiomyocytes
  • Macrophages
  • Corneal Epithelial Cells
  • Dental Pulps
  • Retinal Cells

ANIMAL MODELS

  • Human
  • Non-human Primate (NHP)
  • Murine (Mouse)
  • Porcine (Pig)
  • Bovine (Cow)
  • Canine (Dog)
  • Rattus (Rat)
  • Feline (Cat)
  • Capra (Goat)

Cell Isolations

We also perform PBMC isolations for most animal models listed, and can also isolate cell subsets (CD3, CD4, CD8, and monocytes) in most cases. These isolations can be phenotypically confirmed by flow cytometry for immediate use, or cryopreserved for future use.
